I believe that standards and ethics are not something you just give lip-service to, and as a result, I operate my HRVA business under a strict code of ethics:

  • I will honor my commitments to my clients and my fellow VAs.
  • I will not overpromise and underdeliver.
  • I will not exaggerate my abilities or expertise.
  • I will protect my clients with as much vigor as I protect myself.
  • I will not lie to protect myself or anyone else.
  • I will not take on more than I can chew (or do).
  • I will guard my clients’ information and privacy as jealously as my own.
  • I will not do anything that I know to be illegal or that I consider to be immoral.
  • I will protect my clients’ confidentiality unless required by law to do otherwise.
  • I will not misrepresent myself or my business.
  • I am responsible and accountable for my work, and I will rectify any mistakes I may make.
  • I do not violate copyright laws.  Nor do I “borrow” other people’s work product whether or not said work is copyright protected.
  • I will not participate in unfair business practices (conspiracy, breach of fiduciary duty, misappropriation of trade secrets and other proprietary information, fraud, interference with contracts, etc.).
